Hard Work Pays Off

You can't tell by the pictures, but this week Sister De France and I
worked harder than I have ever worked in my life. And it paid off so
much. I'm so thankful for the amazing people that we were able to
find! And we extended new baptismal dates to someone every single day
this week! The Lord has really blessed the efforts that we've made.
I don't have much time to write but I just want to quickly bear my
testimony that I know that when we put in work to our prayers, our
efforts are blessed. The quote "Pray as if everything depends on your
Heavenly Father, work as if everything depends on you" is TRUE. I am
so thankful to be a missionary. I love it with all of my heart. We
were able to spend some time on the beach today in Clayton-on-sea and
it was super fun!

Happy Valentines Day!
XOXO

Faith is the Power

Hello this is Sister Barnes coming at you live from Cambridge! We are
here for p-day this morning and I don't have much time but I'd love to
tell of a celestial miracle that we've experienced this week. Straight
from Heaven, let me tell you!

The family that we have been working with is absolutely incredible. We
went over there twice this week and taught the plan of salvation and
the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We met their mom and invited them all to
church, but usually they go to a different church closer to London so
they told us hey would try their best but not to count on it. We
showed up to fast and testimony meeting and they hadn't arrived so we
just greeted some of our other investigators and members and sat down.
During the meeting, I got up and bore my testimony of following the
spirit. I told the congregation about the experience we had in the
street when the Holy Ghost led us right to a door and now we are
teaching a super prepared family. I testified that the spirit helps us
and is always there. As soon as I sat down, our phone buzzed with a
text saying that they were on their way! Then Sister De France got so
excited and bore her testimony! By the time it was over, the ward was
so excited for this family to arrive and when they got there they were
greeted so warmly. We took them to each of their classes and they all
loved it. Their mom came to relief society with us and even signed up
to cook us dinner. It was such a miracle!

I really do know that faith is real. It is an actual power. It cause
things to happen that need to happen. I know had we not demonstrated
our faith in this family, they would not have come. Have faith, have
hope, and remember that good things come to those that put their trust
in God. Faith is the power! Love you all!
